4/8/2021 - City Docks & Avon River Cruise

Approach to the Old Lock and Weir.
The 4th August saw the return of the Association’s social scene since lockdown, with a somewhat belated, Bristol City Docks & River Avon Cruise. With the weather fair, some 40 + Members and their guests participating in the evening.
The cruise commenced with the party embarking at Welsh Back for the initial cruise through the “Floating Harbour” before entering first the old Netham Lock and Hanham Lock into the River Avon. The party were greeted with a welcoming refreshment at the Riverside Venue, The Old Lock & Weir, by the Host, quickly followed by a buffet of Curry, Chilli and Burgers.

The party then re-embarked to return to the Cascade Steps in the heart of the City Docks to no doubt continue the evening in the local bars and restaurants ashorehe Bristol Maritime Trade Association, once again took the opportunity of a fine Summers’ evening to hold their popular Summer Cruise through Bristol Floating Harbour to the Old Lock & Weir at Hanham Mills for a Barbeque.
